JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a competent individual to be part of our Bourbon's 72 Bartender team. The Bourbons 72 Bartender will open and close the Bourbons 72 lounge. They are responsible for mixing and serving drinks, serving bar menu food, and providing excellent guest service. The Bourbons 72 Bartender is responsible for training of new bartenders in Bourbons 72. They are required to keep accurate daily records of inventory, breakage sheets, and par lists. The Bourbons 72 Bartender's goal is to provide positive, professional, and courteous service in an exciting environment. The Bourbons 72 Bartender works closely with the Bourbons Manager to ensure proper wine, beer, and liquor pars are kept, take monthly inventories, and assist with Bourbons staff beverage training.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly and in accordance with legal guidelines.
  • Have an excellent knowledge of all liquors, beer, and wine with an emphasis on Bourbon knowledge.
  • Take bar menu food orders and serve using standards taught during food service training.
  • Use TIPS training for verifying, monitoring, and intervention purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or a GED. Minimum 2 years previous bartending experience of which 1 or more years of lead or supervisory experience preferred. Must understand and have full knowledge of Michigan Liquor Control Commission Laws.
