LifeStream's HIV Early Intervention Services provide early detection, education, referrals to additional services across our continuum of care, infection prevention skills, improvement of quality of life, and improvement of mental and physical health. The BA/BS Counselor is responsible for providing comprehensive counseling services to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices to support their mental health and well-being. This role involves assessing client needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to promote positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide counseling services using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support clients in achieving their mental health goals.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, documenting progress and any changes in treatment plans.
Participate in case conferences and contribute to the development of best practices within the center.
Offer crisis intervention and support to clients in emergency situations.
Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available resources.
Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health counseling and integrate new knowledge into practice.
Uphold the ethical standards and confidentiality requirements of the counseling profession.
