Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Analyst - Order Management and Inventory Allocation in Austin, TX. Overview: We are seeking a Business Analyst to support a large-scale technology transformation initiative focused on Order Management and Inventory Allocation. This role will play a key part in discovery, process analysis, and requirements definition across ERP and connected systems. This is a highly collaborative position working across business and technical teams to evaluate current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and help shape future-state solutions. Roles and Responsibilities: Discovery & Process Analysis:
  • Lead discovery sessions focused on order management and inventory workflows
  • Document current-state (As-Is) processes using detailed process maps (swimlanes, value streams, etc.)
  • Identify inefficiencies, system gaps, and integration challenges
  • Partner with stakeholders to define pain points and improvement opportunities
Requirements Gathering & Documentation:
  • Facilitate workshops to gather and validate business and functional requirements
Create clear, structured artifacts such as:
  • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
  • User stories and acceptance criteria
  • Process flows and use cases
  • Ensure requirements reflect end-to-end business processes and data flows
  • Support backlog development and prioritization
Business Value & Analysis:
  • Develop Business Value Assessments (BVAs) to quantify expected benefits, costs, and risks
  • Translate business needs into measurable outcomes aligned with transformation goals
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams
  • Work across functions including supply chain, demand planning, sales, and operations
  • Help ensure alignment across ERP and related systems
Future-State Design:
  • Support development of future-state (To-Be) processes

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in technology or transformation programs
Strong experience with:
  • Process mapping and workflow documentation
  • Requirements elicitation and stakeholder facilitation
  • Background working with ERP and/or Order Management Systems (OMS)
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, structured documentation
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams in complex environments
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or consumer products industries
Familiarity with:
  • Order management workflows
  • Inventory allocation and planning processes
  • Experience supporting ERP transformations or large system implementations
  • Exposure to tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, or Lucid chart

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
