Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Quality Inspector to lead and supervise quality operations within a precision machining environment.

Responsibilities

• Support quality systems and ensure they are effectively implemented.
• Lead and manage inspection personnel to maintain high standards.
• Maintain and improve quality procedures to align with industry standards.
• Support and participate in audits to ensure compliance.
• Directly engage in inspection activities to uphold quality standards.
• Assist production in maintaining throughput while ensuring customer quality is protected.
• Remain actively engaged with manufacturing operations and provide inspection coverage as needed.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience with AS9100 / ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Proficiency in inspection and measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Experience in root cause analysis and CAPA using methodologies like 8D, 5 Why, and FMEA.
• Familiarity with the aerospace quality environment and tight tolerance manufacturing.
• Strong shop-floor engagement and quality control execution.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Knowledge of calibration processes.
• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
• Quality auditing experience.
• Strong skills in root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Comfortable with inspecting parts in a hands-on capacity.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
