About the Role:

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, hands-on childcare in clients' homes across the Long Island area
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities, games, and educational play
• Prepare light meals and snacks while maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Assist with homework, bedtime routines, and daily schedules as needed
• Communicate openly and professionally with parents and guardians regarding the child's day
• Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies or unexpected situations
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment at all times

Requirements:

• Prior experience in babysitting, childcare, or a related caregiving role preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with strong references
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families
• Ability to pass a background check
• Patient, energetic, and genuinely passionate about working with children
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation a plus
