Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Back End Engineer for a Contract with a client in Malvern, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and REST APIs using Python, AWS Lambda, and cloud-native technologies to support enterprise applications.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Back End Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable REST APIs and backend services using Python and AWS Lambda within a serverless cloud environment.

• Build and integrate cloud-native applications with Amazon Aurora and DynamoDB, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and optimal system performance.

• Manage database schema changes, version control, and deployment processes using Liquibase and established database management practices.

• Implement automated testing, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting solutions to support application reliability and operational excellence.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to deliver high-quality solutions through CI/CD pipelines and cloud best practices.

• Optimize application and database performance, resolve production issues, participate in code reviews, and contribute to technical design and architecture decisions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 10+ years of experience in backend application development, cloud engineering, and API development within enterprise environments.

• Strong expertise in Python, AWS Lambda, REST API development, Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, and serverless application architecture, with experience building scalable cloud-native solutions.

• Proven experience with Liquibase, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, database performance optimization, monitoring, troubleshooting, and Agile software development methodologies.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $64.00 per hour
