Back End Software Developer

Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to develop and maintain the back-end/server-side parts of our applications. The ideal candidate will be adept at working with various languages and tools to create and maintain services both on-premises and in the cloud.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Spring Boot and Java
• Experience with server-side languages like Java, Python, etc.
• Experience in developing and maintaining back-end applications like APIs and microservices
• 8 years in IT; 4 years in development
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with React
• Experience with GCP infrastructure and databases

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their use-cases and requirements
• Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering using various tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies
• Design, develop, and deliver new code using various tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user interface elements and with cross-functional teams like product owners, designers, architects, etc.
• Manage application deployment to the cloud
• Manage data storage and retrievals in applications by utilizing database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, etc.
• Support back-end infrastructure and deployment practices to improve application resiliency and reliability
