Back-End Software Developer

Introduction

Join our dynamic team where you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the back-end/server-side parts of applications. You will work with various languages and tools to create and maintain services either on-premises or in the cloud, ensuring high performance and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java, with the ability to write clean, thread-safe, and object-oriented backend code using Java 11/17.
• Experience in developing and maintaining back-end applications like APIs and microservices using server-side languages such as Java and Python.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB for data storage and retrieval.
• Minimum of 6 years in IT with at least 4 years in development.
• Prior work experience at a client or in the client's industry.
• Bachelor's Degree.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Spring Boot for building scalable, production-ready RESTful microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP for deploying containerized applications and integrating messaging services.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their use-cases and requirements.
• Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering using various tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user interface elements and with cross-functional teams like product owners, designers, and architects.
• Manage application deployment to the cloud or on-premises, health and performance monitoring, security hardening, and disaster recovery for deployed applications.
• Promote improvements in programming practices, such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
• Support security practices to safeguard user data, including encryption and anonymization.
