Position Summary

Back-of-House/Kitchen Team Members are responsible for preparing food safely, quickly, and accurately in accordance with Chick-fil-A standards. This includes working kitchen stations, maintaining cleanliness, following food safety procedures, stocking supplies, and supporting the team during busy periods.

This role requires urgency, attention to detail, teamwork, and pride in quality.

Responsibilities

Back of House / Kitchen Team Members may be responsible for:

  • Preparing food in accordance with Chick-fil-A standards and restaurant procedures.
  • Maintaining food quality, freshness, and presentation.
  • Following food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
  • Working assigned kitchen stations with urgency and accuracy.
  • Preparing, assembling, and packaging guest orders.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and supporting daily cleaning tasks.
  • Restocking products and supplies.
  • Communicating with teammates and leaders to support smooth operations.
  • Completing opening, closing, and shift responsibilities.
  • Supporting the restaurant wherever needed.

Requirements

Applicants should be able to:

  • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull items as needed (generally up to 51 lbs)
  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully.
  • Work with urgency and attention to detail.
  • Meet attendance, punctuality, and uniform expectations.
  • Be available for scheduled shifts, including peak business periods as needed.

Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is helpful, but not required. We hire for character and train for skill.

Minimum Age Requirement

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age for this role due to essential job duties involving commercial kitchen equipment, hot food preparation areas, equipment cleaning, and other tasks restricted for minors under applicable child labor laws.

This role may require Team Members to operate, clean, stock, and support kitchen stations and equipment as part of regular restaurant operations.

30-Day Introductory Training and Evaluation Period

All new hires begin with a 30-day introductory training and evaluation period. During this time, we evaluate attendance, punctuality, attitude, coachability, teamwork, guest service, speed, accuracy, cleanliness, and ability to meet restaurant standards.

Continued employment is based on successful completion of this introductory period, business needs, and compliance with all applicable laws.
