The Backend Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining server-side applications and services. This role focuses on ensuring performance, scalability, and security while supporting integrations with frontend applications and external systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs
- Build scalable systems to handle high volumes of data and requests
- Implement security and data protection best practices
- Optimize performance and troubleshoot backend issues
- Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Manage databases, schemas, and queries
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Participate in code reviews and technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Experience in backend development or similar roles
- Proficiency in at least one backend language or framework
- Experience building RESTful APIs or similar services
- Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases
- Understanding of system design and scalability principles
- Familiarity with version control systems
- Experience integrating applications with external services
