Job Summary

Backend Support Specialist role in a global organization focusing on advanced backend solutions integrated with robust Oracle database administration and Oracle development practices. The role involves designing secure and scalable applications that streamline client onboarding and maintenance workflows while ensuring high performance data integrity and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend components that deliver secure and efficient content driven applications supporting complex business workflows and client servicing needs.
• Optimize integrations with Oracle database environments to ensure reliable data exchange high performance transaction handling and consistent system behavior under varying workloads.
• Configure and maintain Oracle database instances focusing on performance tuning capacity planning and proactive issue prevention to support mission critical application operations.
• Develop and enhance Oracle database schemas stored procedures and queries that align with application requirements and maintain strong data integrity across environments.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs for backend services and Oracle data models that enable seamless client onboarding experiences.
• Implement robust error handling logging and monitoring mechanisms across backend and Oracle database layers to improve observability and accelerate incident resolution.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and database script reviews to uphold high standards for quality security maintainability and compliance with organizational engineering practices.
• Execute unit integration and system testing for backend services and database changes ensuring stable releases and minimizing production defects that could impact client journeys.
• Provide technical guidance to peers on backend development patterns and Oracle database best practices fostering a culture of continuous improvement and shared technical ownership.
• Document system designs configuration details and operational procedures for and Oracle platforms to support smooth knowledge transfer and reliable long term maintenance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine client onboarding and maintenance processes leveraging backend and database capabilities to reduce manual steps and improve service transparency.
• Evaluate and implement security controls on backend and Oracle databases addressing authentication authorization data protection and audit requirements to safeguard sensitive client information.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and support teams to ensure stable on premise environments for work from office operations including capacity alignment and adherence to day shift schedules.

Qualifications

• Possess extensive hands on experience in backend development including component creation service layer implementation and integration with enterprise systems for at least eight years.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in Oracle database administration covering installation configuration backup recovery performance tuning and ongoing maintenance in production settings.
• Show solid expertise in Oracle database development including schema design query optimization and stored procedure implementation that supports scalable transactional applications.
• Apply working knowledge of client onboarding and maintenance processes to design backend flows and data structures that improve onboarding speed accuracy and overall client satisfaction.
• Exhibit capability to work effectively in office based day shift environments collaborating closely with product teams testers and operations staff to deliver predictable outcomes.
• Display strong problem solving skills in diagnosing complex issues across backend and Oracle database stacks using analytical techniques and structured troubleshooting approaches.
• Utilize clear and precise communication skills to document solutions present technical options and align with stakeholders on priorities and expectations for system enhancements.
