In this role, the VISTA member will expand our weekend backpack feeding program to address food insecurity among school-aged children. The member will implement data-driven systems to identity unmet needs, assess service gaps, and guide strategic expansion. They will strengthen community partnerships and volunteer infrastructure to ensure consistent program delivery across all school districts. The member will also develop diversified funding streams to ensure long-term financial stability. The member will empower the program to expand beyond its current reach of 13 schools serving 974 students to become a year-round initiative that advances equitable access to nutritious food and supportive resources for children and families throughout Fairfield County.
