Job Summary

The Customer Service Bagger will be responsible for modeling and promoting Sendik’s culture by consistently providing “best in class” service to our guests. The main responsibility as a Bagger will be to efficiently, accurately and delicately bag our customers’ groceries. In addition, the Bagger will assist with gathering carts and baskets, as well as maintaining a neat and organized space.

Work Experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Serve customers while modeling Sendik’s culture and providing “best in class” customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business
  • Engaging with customers in order to customize their bagging requests and preferences
  • Accurately and efficiently bag groceries while maintaining the integrity of the items
  • Assist customers with carry-out and car-side deliveries
  • Assist with gathering carts and baskets as needed
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in Customer Service
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
  • Assist with all other Customer Service duties as needed 

 

Qualifications:

  • Eagerness to interact with customers
  • Strong sense of team – ability to anticipate the needs of the team
  • Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervision
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills 
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of time 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
