Baked Bread Clerk

If you enjoy baked bread you will love our fresh new Baked Breads Department at our gourmet marketplace! We have an immediate need for a Bread Clerk to assist customers with their bread selection needs.

Our Baked Bread Clerks create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Bread Clerks should be friendly, greet and be courteous to customers and work with management and other associates to provide a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

1. Arrange freshly baked breads in designated baskets for customer selection
2. Maintain an appealing, well-organized, and fully stocked bread display
3. Slice and package fresh bread upon customer request
4. Clean and sanitize all work areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with NYS regulations and company QA standards
5. Ensure floors remain clean, safe, and free of spills or debris
6. Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
7. Properly operate, maintain, and care for all department equipment as required
8. Rotate product consistently to maintain freshness and quality standards
9. Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability.
3. Must be able to speak, read and communicate in the English language
