Illinois Street Food Emporium, a locally rooted upscale, fast-casual restaurant serving the community since 1979, is seeking a skilled and reliable baker to join our team.
Position Overview: This role is responsible for daily production of baked goods including pastries, muffins, cookies, and specialty items. We are looking for someone who takes pride in consistency, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and bake items according to established recipes and standards
Manage prep, proofing, and baking schedules
Maintain a clean and organized workstation
Ensure product consistency and quality across all batches
Qualifications:
2+ years of professional baking experience preferred
Ability to work early mornings and weekends
Strong attention to detail and time management
Experience in high-volume or scratch baking is a plus
