You love the quiet early hours, the part of the day that belongs to the baker. The oven coming up to temp, the smell of the first bake, the craft of getting it right before anyone else walks in. That is the heart of this role, and at Maricel's Kitchen it actually matters, because what you make is the first thing our guests taste at brunch.
We are a Filipino and Asian heritage restaurant, and we are looking for an experienced baker to help us continue to expand our bakery program: the breads, cakes, and pastries that go out for our brunch service. You will run the early prep, keep quality consistent bake after bake, and take real pride in your station. I learned to cook in my Lola's kitchen in Manila and in the fine-dining rooms of New York, and I care about the small things, because the small things are everything. I want a baker who feels the same way. You will report to our Sous Chef / Pastry Chef and deliver on her program.

Schedule: 2-3 days a week, overnight or early morning, so breads and pastries are fresh when brunch opens.
