Baker

SUMMARY: Responsible for preparing food in accordance with established company and departmental policies and procedures under the direction of the Pastry Chef and Baker I.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: (Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to)

• Under the direction of the Baker I, ensures all functional duties associated with this job are performed according to established company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Notifies Baker I prior to depletion when stock needs to be replenished.
• Prepares food in accordance with recipe specifications.
• Responsible for preparing / baking items in accordance with recipe specifications.
• Restocks stations as required.
• Maintains effective flow of production and ensures freshness of products.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must complete Food Handler or ServSafe certification or have proof of current certification.
• Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
• Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.
• Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
• Must possess and maintain a valid California driver license and Black Oak Casino driver's permit.
• Requires knowledge of baking and kitchen operations.
• Must have knowledge of cleaning, set-up and breakdown procedures.

Physical Demands:

• Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.

Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in a non-smoke free environment.
• Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
• Must be able to work in extreme cold (below 32 F) up to ½ hour at a time and extreme heat (above 100 F) up to 4 hours at a time.
• Possible exposure to dust, gas, fumes, steam, or chemicals.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Required to work around moving machinery.
