Job Summary: As a Cake Decorator, youll be the artistic heart of our grocery stores bakery, specializing in transforming cakes into works of edible art. • Decorate a variety of cakes according to customer requests, including custom designs for special occasions.
• Utilize various cake decorating techniques, such as piping, fondant work, and edible image applications.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their preferences and provide personalized cake designs.
• Ensure the highest standards of quality and presentation for all decorated cakes.
• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in cake decoration.
• Assist in general bakery operations, including production, customer service, and cleanliness.

Knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of cake decorating techniques, including piping, fondant work, and edible image applications.
• Familiarity with a wide range of decorating tools and materials.
• Awareness of industry trends and innovations in cake decoration.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.

Skills:

• Exceptional artistic and creative skills in cake decoration.
• Proficiency in a variety of cake decorating techniques.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary arts degree or specialized cake decorating certification is advantageous.
• Previous experience as a Cake Decorator or similar role.
• Demonstrated expertise in various cake decorating techniques.
• Familiarity with inventory management and ordering systems in a bakery setting.
• Passion for creating visually stunning and delicious cakes.
