The purpose of this position is to maintain quality standards and product levels of all fresh‑baked products in the bakery. Build customer confidence and loyalty by providing prompt and exceptional customer service while following consistent operating conditions in a friendly atmosphere.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide exceptional customer service including greeting customers and answering questions with a positive attitude.Fill and take special orders from customers.Operate scales and other bakery equipment.Receive, store, stock, maintain, and rotate bakery products and displays.Confirm pricing accuracy, country of origin, and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items.Maintain high standards of sanitation and freshness.Assist in other duties as assigned.Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures.Assist as needed to ensure the success of the store.QUALIFICATIONS At least 18 years of age.Ability to deliver friendly and prompt customer service.Ability to read, write, and do simple math.Ability to follow instructions.Ability to work well with others and work well as a team.Continually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, consistent and forward focused.Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.A passion for serving others.Prior experience is preferred.Bilingual abilities are a plus.PHYSICAL DEMANDS Bakery Associates perform their duties primarily in the department. May be exposed to various temperature changes and environments.
