Position Summary: Pulls, stages, loads and delivers orders to Quality Dairy stores and outside customers. Follows Quality Dairy Company policies and procedures. Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices Job Duties: Follows the Quality Dairy Company Code of ExcellenceDelivers orders to store locations and outside customersLoads and unloads trucksCompletes drivers daily route logVerifies delivery accuracyKeeps vehicles clean, neat and orderlyKeeps fuel tank and other fluids at acceptable levelsSubmits proper records for fuel purchasesCommunicates maintenance/preventative maintenance needs to truck garage and managementPerforms minor routine maintenance on trucksReports customer facility damage, accidents and/or vehicle damage to Production Supervisor or Production Manager immediatelyReports driving record violations, both on and off the job to Production Supervisor or Production Manager within 24 hoursPicks up Bakery bins from stores and outside customersReports damaged Bakery bins to maintenance departmentPicks up damaged and outdated merchandise from stores and outside customersRecommends methods for improvement in equipment, operating procedures and working conditionsAssures departmental records are complete, accurate and legibleDelivers and returns all inter-company mail bags to appropriate locationsRepresents company in a professional manner Relationships: Production Supervisor, Production Crew Leader, Production Manager, Sanitation Supervisor Communicate problems, suggestions and questionsReceive directions and instructionsResource for situations requiring a decisionReceive guidelines, company goals Store Personnel, Customers Provide efficient, professional and friendly serviceNotify if delivery will be lateNotify of product problems and solutions Delivery Drivers Communicates any problems, issues regarding the delivery of goods Production Workers Communicates any problems and/or issues regarding picking of orders Maintenance Notify of any equipment issues Security Communicate damages, accidents, and major incidents Essential Skills, Abilities and Physical Demands: Successfully complete physicals and drug testing as required by Department of Transportation and Company policyAbility to maneuver truck in traffic and back up truck to various unloading areas designated by customerAbility to respond quickly to changes in traffic patterns and delivering proceduresAbility to lift up to 75 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, lift, and pull repetitivelyAbility to withstand temperature and noise extremesAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize time and meet quality expectationsAbility to work irregular hours, weekends and holidaysAbility to operate machinery and equipment related to the jobAbility to use math skills for preparing reportsAbility to understand, follow and comply with safety proceduresExposure to odor and diesel fumes from truckStrong commitment towards tasks completion Education/Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalentChauffeurs license and satisfactory driving recordPrevious delivery experience, preferredBasis computer knowledgeAbility to express ideas clearly and conciselyStrong organizational skills THIS JOB DESCRIPTION IN NO WAY STATES OR IMPLIES THAT THESE ARE THE ONLY DUTIES TO BE PERFORMED BY THIS EMPLOYEE.
