What You'll Do:
As a Bakery Lead Sales Clerk at Festival Foods, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and Teach: Coach and support our sales/service clerks by reinforcing Festival culture, guest service, and performance expectations. Train new team members and prepare weekly schedules for clerks.
- Deliver Helpful Service: Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you’ll handle each interaction with professionalism and care. Your willingness to help guests with what they need, will make a positive impact every day.
- Provide Feedback: Conduct performance reviews, document any policy violations, and advise the Department Manager on corrective actions. Provide guidance and answer questions to all Bakery department associates.
- Ensure Excellence: Ensure all sales floor department standards are met. Monitor sales floor conditions, correct any issues, and maintain eye-catching displays.
- Offer Assistance: Assist customers with finding items, taking cake and special orders, and providing top-notch service. Handle phone inquiries with care and support Bakery Clerks with packaging, pricing, labeling, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Maintain Standards: Keep supplies replenished, ensure food safety logs are maintained, and meet quality standards. Ensure quantity expectations are met by 10 am and 5 pm.
- Deliver Quality and Food Safety: Ensure all quality and quantity standards are met, and maintain food safety logs.
- Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
- Support the Team: Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
To excel as a Bakery Lead Sales Clerk, you should have:
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide outstanding customer service and work effectively with guests and team members.
- Communication Skills: Oral and written communication skills and the ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Food Service Expertise: Knowledge of retail food service, bakery and pastry operations, with a strong understanding of food service standards and practices.
- Safety and Efficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of safety requirements and the ability to apply on-the-job safety training and safety policies to handle equipment and recognize and react potential hazards effectively.
