Bakery Maintenance Technician

As a Bakery Maintenance Technician, you will have a diverse set of responsibilities including installation, trouble shooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on donut processing equipment and factory needs.

Core Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair automated equipment such as, mixers, ovens, conveyors, proofers, slicers, and packing machines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems examples are gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, hydraulics.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Install new machinery or production lines.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Hygiene, and Safety Standards. (GMP, HACCP)

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Industrial mechanic and machine maintenance
• Pneumatic and Hydraulic system
• Conveyor system and High Speed packing equipment
• Basic understanding of Automation and PLC-Controlled Machinery
• Must be able to read mechanical drawings and manuals
• Be able to multi-task and have strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Maintenance
• Experience in Food Manufacturing or Automated Production Environment (preferred)
• Knowledge of Food-Grade Materials and Lubrications
• Willingness to work shifts and/or on-call

This is a fast-paced work environment with temperature variations with freezers and ovens. This is on an automated production floor. Strict hygiene and safety procedures are enforced and required to be maintained on a daily.
