Balancing Technician Apprenticeship - Starting Pay: $19.00/HR
Become a trained balancing technician and contribute to our 58-year-reputation for providing high quality balancing solutions. Balancing technicians apply several different correction methods to a wide variety of parts based on the amount of unbalance, component composition, and specific customer requirements. Successful balancing technicians are meticulous and take pride in the quality of their work.
Preferred Experience Level:
• Certificate or Associate's Degree in Machining or a closely related field
• 1 year of manual machining with Bridgeport mills and rotary tables
• 1 year of working directly from engineering design drawings
• 1 year of intricate metal grinding by hand
• 1 year of troubleshooting and machinery repair
• Proficient in trigonometry or higher
Examples of Work You May Perform:
• Material removal by milling, drilling, and grinding by hand
• Material addition by welding and adhesives
Parts You May Work On:
• Parts weighing less than 1 ounce and up to 20 tons
• Components for Aerospace, Automotive, Industrial, and Agriculture
• Electromagnetic rotors, gears, and transmission components
• Rolls, crushers, mixers, and centrifuges
• Impellers, turbines, and compressor wheels
