Job Summary Responsible for monitoring material bunker levels and activating the conveyors and controls to bale sorted recyclable material. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Performs daily inspection of equipment. + Monitors levels of material in bunkers. + Change baler settings for each commodity to be baled. + Operate conveyors to bring materials from bunkers to baler. + If facilities exist, perform QC on material as it is conveyed to the baler. + Places materials in compression chamber of baling machine. + Activate the controls of baler to compress and wire tie bales. + Threads tie bands around bale and twists or clamps ends of bands to tighten bands. + Opens compression chamber doors and removes bale from machine. + Trucks bales to storage place, weighs bales, and records weight. + Lines compression chamber of baling machine with paper, burlap, or other covering before baling. + Sews or ties wrapping in place after baling, and stencils bales. + Keeps accurate production records on bales produced. III. Qualifications A. Required Qualifications + 0-6 months of relevant work experience. + Required to undergo initial training and an annual training thereafter. + Required to read and review operators manual prior to operation of equipment. B. Preferred Qualifications + High School Diploma or GED (accredited). IV. This wage represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location Non-Exempt Positions Non-union: Full-time: Employees will also receive at least 120 hours of paid time off per year, accrued on a payroll period basis and 7 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. The Company provides this paid time off to comply with its obligations to provide paid sick and safe time ("PSST") under Washington state law and local ordinances. Part-time: Employees will also receive at least 90hours of paid time off per year, accrued on a payroll period basis and 7 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Union: Based on Union Agreement Full-time: Employees will also receive union agreed hours of paid time off per year, accrued on a payroll period basis and paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Part-time: Employees will also receive union agreed hours of paid time off per year, accrued on a payroll period basis and paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Exempt positions: Employees will also receive discretionary paid time off, up to 80 hours of paid sick time per year, and 7 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
