The student assistant will assist the Dance Professor with Ballet I instruction during class

Core Duties

• Demonstrating basic ballet at barre
• Demonstrating basic steps in center
• Helping Dance Professor watch students to ensure correct technique and prevent injuries
• Help students with technique during open practice time
• Other relevant tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be available during the Ballet I class periods
• Must be comfortable with personal interaction in the course of teaching dance positions and technique

Preferred Qualifications

• Must have a minimum 2 years Ballet experience
• Must have taken a Ballet class at UP
• Must be approved by the Adjunct Dance Professor

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to fulfill requirements listed
