Flexible Pathways Available
We offer three distinct models that allow for tailored scheduling:
- GI Hospitalist Model
- 7 days on / 7 days off
- Inpatient consultations and endoscopy
- 24-hour call during work weeks (approximately 24 weeks per year)
- Optional outpatient endoscopy if desired
- Hybrid Inpatient / Outpatient Model
- Primarily focused on inpatient coverage
- Includes ambulatory endoscopy in a modern ASC
- Offers a balanced clinical variety with predictable scheduling
- Outpatient / Ambulatory Model
- 3-4 days dedicated to outpatient endoscopy
- 1-2 clinic days each week
- Limited inpatient call responsibilities
Clinical Environment & Resources
- Coverage for a large, high-acuity hospital with comprehensive specialty support
- Dedicated endoscopy suite with 24/7 nursing and technical assistance
- 24/7 anesthesia availability for propofol procedures
- Access to advanced endoscopy equipment (ERCP/EUS welcomed but not mandatory)
- Strong support from Nurse Practitioners and Medical Assistants in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Utilization of EPIC EMR for documentation and ProVation for procedures
- Infusion services available for IBD and specialty therapies
