QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or related
- Valid teaching certification from the state's Department of
- Strong knowledge of child development and educational best
- Prior teaching experience preferred, especially with elementary or high school students.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and manage a diverse
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal
- Competence in using technology for instruction and record-keeping.

JOB GOAL: To lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth and maturation.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the designated
- Develops and maintains a classroom environment conductive to effective learning within the limits of the resources provided by the
- Prepares for classes assigned and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of principal or
- Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom
- Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups
- Strives to implement by instruction and action the Sumter County School System's philosophy of education and instructional goals and
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect
- Evaluates student progress on a regular
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, system policy, and administrative

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine months (187). Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications and established by the Board.
EVALUATION: The performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
