Bandsaw Operator

AAA Technology is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bandsaw Operator.  In this role, you will set up and operate a bandsaw cutting metal components ranging from pipes to all sorts of structural shapes (beams, angles, channels, flat bars), etc. according to customer specifications.

 Key Responsibilities

• Operate Machinery: Set up, adjust, and operate a metal-cutting bandsaw.
• Reading Drawings: Must be capable of interpreting fabrication drawings and cutting requirements including tolerances.
• Quality Control: Capable of utilizing measuring tools like a tape measure and a square to verify accuracy.
• Component Fabrication: Custom parts cut to precise dimensions defined on fabrication drawings.
• Material Handling: Load, position, and secure metal components safely.
• Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on bandsaw.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Proven experience operating a bandsaw.
• Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Mathematical Proficiency: Basic math and geometry skills required.  Must be capable of adding and subtracting feet, inches & fractions.
• Precision: Proficiency with inspection tools including tape measure, calipers, and micrometers.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
• Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to workshop safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bandsaw Operation Experience: 1+ year of experience in bandsaw operation
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; any advanced education is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while adhering strictly to safety protocols and quality standards.
