Bank Compliance Manager
Position Summary
The Bank Compliance Manager (Officer) oversees the daily execution of the bank's regulatory compliance program. This role ensures community banking operations, retail deposit products, and transaction workflows align fully with state and federal banking laws. The Manager works closely with department supervisors to evaluate operational risk, perform regular compliance testing, manage regulatory examinations, and maintain a robust regulatory environment focused on sound risk management and customer protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance Monitoring: Conduct ongoing testing and monitoring of depository and retail banking operations to confirm ongoing adherence to federal regulations, including Regulation CC, Regulation E, Regulation DD, and FDIC rules.
- BSA/AML Program Management: Serve as a functional supervisor for Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), OFAC screening, and Customer Due Diligence (CDD/Beneficial Ownership) protocols. Review daily transaction alerts, Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), and manage Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) filings.
- Exam & Audit Coordination: Coordinate preparations for FDIC and state banking regulatory examinations. Gather requested operational records, assist examiners during onsite or offsite reviews, and track corrective action plans.
- Policy & Procedure Maintenance: Review and update community bank compliance manuals, operating guidelines, and internal controls to reflect changing statutory and regulatory standards.
- Marketing & Disclosure Review: Review retail banking advertisements, marketing materials, fee schedules, and deposit account disclosures for compliance with Truth in Savings and advertising rules.
- Staff Training & Guidance: Deliver practical compliance guidance and continuous training to branch staff, loan officers, and customer service teams to foster a strong compliance culture.
- Complaint Resolution Tracking: Monitor and analyze consumer complaints related to banking operations, ensuring proper investigation, timely response, and operational remediation where necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 7 years of progressive compliance experience within a community bank or retail depository institution.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of core banking regulations, including BSA/AML, OFAC, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Regulation DD, and CRA standards.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with core banking software platforms, anti-money laundering monitoring systems, Excel, and document management applications.
- Certifications: Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer (CCBCO) designation preferred.

Physical & Environmental Requirements
This position operates in a professional office environment and requires prolonged sitting at a desk, active computer use, and light physical movement across office facilities. Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds may be required.

Direct placement
Pay: 85K-105K (depending upon experience)
Schedule: Mon-Fri (8:00 AM- 5:00 PM)
