Bank Teller

Westaff is Hiring for a Bank Teller in Meriden, CT!

Shift: 8am - 5pm

Pay Rate: $17.50 an hour

Teller Responsibilities:

• Provide account services including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and issuing bank checks and money orders
• Process night drop, mail transactions, Visa payments, and cash advances
• Assist customers in person and by phone, referring them to other departments when needed
• Cross-sell credit union products and participate in monthly sales/referral programs
• Support branch operations by labeling coin/currency bags, servicing coin machines, and processing school bags
• Identify fraudulent checks or cash and report suspicious activity
• Maintain an organized teller station and contribute to branch opening/closing tasks
• Balance cash and check drawer daily
• Complete required monthly training and webinars
• Follow Bank Secrecy Act regulations and all internal policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Teller Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to identify suspicious or fraudulent activity
• Comfortable working with cash, financial transactions, and basic computer systems
• Reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to complianc
