Uwharrie Bank is seeking a bank teller (Customer Service Representative) for our Retail Support Team. This position is a customer-facing position, which represents the bank in a professional manner, processing various types of transactions for customers, balancing cash daily, servicing and answering customer inquiries pertaining to various services and making referrals to other lines of business within the company. This position influences the overall efficiency and service level of the retail services team and requires strong customer service skills, math and accounting skills, attention to detail and the ability to adapt to a variety of work environments and markets. This position requires travel between retail bank offices located in Stanly, Anson, Mecklenburg and Cabarrus counties, as needed, and must possess a valid NC drivers' license.
Knowledge: High school graduate with familiarity of the Bank's products and services. AIB courses helpful. Marketing and sales knowledge beneficial for making referrals.
Experience: A minimum of one year of cash handling experience in a retail environment with proven math aptitude, is preferred. Previous experience with personal computer input and retrieval is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency with calculator and personal computer is preferred. Well-developed human relations skills, ability to work in pressure situations under close supervision, and general administrative skills are necessary. Multi-tasking skills are preferred.
