Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bank Teller to join our financial services team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while accurately handling a variety of banking transactions. Your expertise will support customer satisfaction, ensure compliance with banking regulations, and promote the bank’s financial products and services. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, technical proficiency in banking software, and a solid understanding of financial regulations to deliver reliable and efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Process cash transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and payments with accuracy and efficiency
• Manage cash drawer handling and reconcile cash balances at the end of each shift
• Assist customers with account inquiries, account openings, and basic banking needs
• Promote banking products and services through upselling and relationship management
• Detect and prevent fraud by monitoring suspicious activity and adhering to security protocols
• Support loan origination processes by collecting documentation and assisting with application procedures
• Maintain compliance with financial regulations and industry standards related to banking operations
• Utilize banking software and Microsoft Office tools for record keeping, reporting, and data entry
• Handle customer relationships professionally to foster trust and loyalty
• Ensure adherence to cash management policies, debits & credits processing, and retail math accuracy

Skills

• Proven experience in customer relationship management within a banking or financial environment
• Strong knowledge of banking products, financial sales, and industry regulations
• Proficiency in banking software, Microsoft Office applications, and technical tools relevant to financial services
• Excellent cash handling skills including cashiering, processing cash transactions, and managing cash drawers
• Basic math skills including retail math, decimal calculations, and 10-key typing proficiency
• Ability to detect fraud prevention opportunities while maintaining high standards of financial compliance
• Effective relationship management skills to build rapport with diverse clients
• Knowledge of industry standards for financial compliance, banking regulatory requirements, and financial software systems
