Banking Ops Specialist

Location: Jacksonville, FL
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Support routine day-to-day operations of consumer and commercial banking.
• Assist with service transactions and support multi-channel inbound referrals.
• Verify daily proofs and process payments that may require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures.
• Answer service and referral calls, respond to customer questions, and assist with service transactions.
• Ensure daily proofs and reconciliations comply with corporate accounting and control policies.
• Validate the accuracy of payments, tickets, and online entries.
• Provide solutions to customer, branch, or bank inquiries and escalate issues as necessary.
• Investigate customer inquiries using multiple resources and records.
• Enter transactions into CRT/PC and balance general ledger accounts.
• Ensure work is properly safeguarded and controlled in accordance with banking policies and procedures.
• Assist with subject matter expert projects as requested.

Requirements:

• High School Preferred

Preferred Skills:

• Research skills
• State Escheatment Knowledge: Working knowledge of state escheatment laws, reporting timelines, due-diligence, requirements, and remittance processes.
• Adaptability – Ability to learn, execute, and retain processes
