Job Details:
We are seeking a seasoned Bankruptcy Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in business litigation, bankruptcy, advising lenders and other stakeholders, commercial finance, real estate, and litigation. The ideal candidate must have been admitted to the Illinois bar and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your legal expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in bankruptcy cases, business litigation, and real estate matters.
  • Advise lenders and other stakeholders on legal matters related to bankruptcy and commercial finance.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
  • Stay updated with the latest legal and industry trends, regulations, and court decisions related to bankruptcy, business litigation, and commercial finance.
  • Participate in business development activities to build and maintain client relationships.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois bar.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business litigation, bankruptcy, advising lenders and other stakeholders, commercial finance, real estate, and litigation.
  • Proven track record of representing clients in complex bankruptcy cases and business litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state bankruptcy laws, commercial finance regulations, and real estate laws.
  • Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
  • High-level written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
