Job Summary:  
Reports directly to the Managing Attorney of Special Verticals. The primary duties of this position are drafting and preparation of legal pleadings and/or correspondence for review and filing. Additional duties include day-to-day support of the Managing Attorney and legal research

Job Duties: 
  • Draft legal pleadings and other correspondence related to cases the Managing Attorney handles.  
  • Handle telephone calls on cases related to the Managing Attorney.      
  • Update system-of-record with proper account updates, statuses, and detailed notes of actions.
  • Take recording of all hearing dates in system and internal diary to ensure schedules are current and tracked.
  • Assist with special projects for the department and the firm.
  • Adhere to all firm and client policies, procedures, and applicable laws while performing all job duties. 

Skills Required:    
  • Paralegal education/experience.
  • Preferred experience in receiverships and complex litigation matters.
  • Proficient typing, grammar, and writing skills.
  • Positive & results driven attitude that fosters a great working relationship with all co-workers.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to adapt to variations and particular preferences.

Job Requirements:
  • Completion of a recognized Paralegal Education Program) or 3-5 years of equivalent job experience working in a Paralegal and/or Legal Assistant capacity.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
