The Banquet Captain assists Banquet Event Managers and serves as a service lead for events at the Kellogg Center and across campus through Kellogg Catering, ensuring high-quality execution of food and beverage service and an exceptional guest experience. This role is responsible for event preparation, food & beverage service delivery, and coordination while often acting as the primary point of contact for clients and their guests. Reporting to Banquet Event Managers, this position coordinates student and on-call staff to ensure seamless, professional service across a wide range of events both at the Kellogg Center, and at other MSU locations, such as Breslin Center, the new Student Recreation and Wellness Center, and Multicultural Center.

One year satisfactory experience as a Hotel Dining Room Server or equivalent in the banquet or dining room area, to include satisfactory performance of all internal Banquet or Dining Room Server responsibilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience as a Hotel Banquet or Dining Room Server.
