Banquet Captain

The Resort at Longboat Key Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Banquet Captain to lead our banquet team and ensure exceptional service during events. The Banquet Captain will play a key role in delivering memorable experiences for our guests by supervising banquet operations, coordinating with staff, and maintaining high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise banquet staff during events to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest service.
• Coordinate with event planners, kitchen staff, and other departments to deliver seamless event execution.
• Ensure that banquet room setups meet the standards and client specifications.
• Monitor service quality and address any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Train and mentor banquet staff to maintain high performance and professionalism.
• Manage inventory of banquet supplies and report needs for additional resources.
• Assist in planning and organizing banquet events, including logistics and staffing.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in banquet or event management, preferably in a resort or hotel setting.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership ability.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding guest service.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards is a plus.
