About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to join a high-volume hospitality team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with a strong luxury or full-service hotel background who thrives in fast-paced banquet and catering operations. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing both on-site and off-site events while delivering exceptional guest experiences and leading large banquet teams.
Responsibilities

Oversee all banquet operations, ensuring flawless execution of events from setup through breakdown.

Manage multiple events simultaneously, including weddings, galas, corporate meetings, conventions, and social functions.

Coordinate closely with Catering Sales, Event Managers, Culinary, Stewarding, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution.

Lead, coach, schedule, and develop banquet captains, servers, bartenders, and support staff.

Maintain exceptional service standards while ensuring guest satisfaction at every event.

Oversee off-site catering events, including logistics, staffing, transportation, and execution.

Manage labor costs, scheduling, payroll, inventory, and banquet operating expenses.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations.

Monitor banquet equipment, room setups, and service standards to maintain brand excellence.

Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of Banquet Management experience in a full-service hotel.

Experience managing both on-site and off-site catering/events.

Proven experience overseeing banquet and catering operations generating $5 million+ in annual banquet revenue.

Experience executing events with 1,000+ guests.

Strong leadership experience managing large banquet service teams.

Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
Preferred

Luxury hotel or resort experience.

Experience with convention hotels or conference centers.

Knowledge of banquet management systems and POS software.

Food Handler and Alcohol Service certifications (or ability to obtain).
