    Job Posting: Banquet Manager - Rivers Casino Pittsburgh

    Position Summary: Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Manager to join our team. The Banquet Manager will ensure that guest service standards are consistently met, overseeing the Banquet department's operations and maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Consistently meet Guest Service Standards.
    • Ensure proper staffing aligned with forecasted volume and budgetary guidelines.
    • Oversee ordering for the Banquet department, including food, beverages, and supplies.
    • Maintain proper inventory levels, monitor inventory, and report discrepancies to the Director of Food & Beverage.
    • Complete accurate end-of-period inventory.
    • Schedule timely and efficiently to meet budgeted labor costs.
    • Administer and enforce departmental policies and performance standards.
    • Communicate policy and procedure changes to team members.
    • Ensure thorough training for new hires and ongoing training for existing team members.
    • Report any problems or concerns to the Director and other departments as necessary.
    • Facilitate effective communication between departments by conducting and participating in departmental meetings.
    • Achieve established P&L objectives.
    • Ensure accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
    • Maintain high sanitation and safety standards in compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., Health Department, OSHA, FSLA).
    • Maintain professional grooming and appearance, acting as a role model according to established policy.

    Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

    • 1 year of experience in banquet sales and/or management preferred.
    • Possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with guests, clients, and team members.
    • Prior experience with a proven track record of sound judgment and ability to perform under pressure.
    • Ability to successfully complete and maintain certification in "Serv-Safe" (Food Sanitation Management) within 120 days of employment.
    • Proficiency in computer use.
    • Ability to understand and communicate Material Safety Data Sheets to all team members.
    • Be able to successfully complete the pre-employment process, and work flexible shifts including holidays.
    • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests in English.

    Certifications:

    • Must be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Non-Gaming License. Rivers Casino will assist in the application process and pays the fee associated with this license.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of standing, walking and sitting
    • Regular bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching
    • Ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds frequently
