Banquet Server

Position Overview:

As a Banquet Server you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to guests during events and ensuring the smooth flow of food and beverages throughout the event. You will be partnering with event planners, chefs and other critical staff members to deliver a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities:

Set up tables, chairs, linens and other equipment according to the event specificationsArranging place settings and ensuring all necessary utensils and glassware are availablePreparing condiments, garnishes and other items as neededGreeting guests warmly as they arrive; escorting them to their seats if neededTaking food and beverage orders accurately and efficientlyServing meals promptly and courteously, ensuring the accuracy in delivering the correct dishes to the right guestsAttending to special dietary requests or allergies and ensuring they are communicated to the kitchen staffMonitoring beverage levels and replenish as neededClearing tables and cleaning up after guests, removing dishes and glassware promptlyProviding attentive and friendly service to guests, addressing any questions or concerns they may haveAnticipating guests' needs and proactively offering assistanceHandling guest needs or issues professionally and seeking assistance from supervisors as neededMaintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times; even during busy or challenging situationsCollaborating with other servers, bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure seamless coordination of serviceAssisting with clean up and breakdown of event spaces after the event concludesPerforming any other tasks assigned by leadership

Experience:

Preferred: One (1) year experience as a high-volume server or relevant experiencePreferred: ServeSafe Certification or TIPS Certification

Schedule:

Days and start times TBD based on business needsPart timeFlexibility to work hours needed based on event schedules

Compensation:

$18.00 per hour

Varying temperature controlled environments

Skills:

Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 35 - 45lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product - such as food trays, glass racks, silverware containers etc.; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments;Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basisOrganizational Skills: Ability to fulfill executive directions in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesWorking in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team playerQuality: Maintain integrity and high standards from all perspectivesSafety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
