Banquet Server

Position Overview

We are seeking professional, polished, and service-oriented individuals to join our team in a banquet service role. In this position, you will help create memorable experiences for guests by delivering attentive, efficient, and high-quality food and beverage service during events, meetings, receptions, and celebrations.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and service stations according to event specifications.
• Greet guests courteously and provide attentive, timely service throughout each event.
• Serve plated meals, buffet items, beverages, and refreshments in a professional manner.
• Clear tables, reset spaces, and maintain cleanliness and organization before, during, and after events.
• Assist with event breakdown, including proper storage of equipment, dishes, and service items.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff, supervisors, and event personnel to ensure smooth service flow.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Respond promptly to guest needs and special requests with a positive, solution-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous food and beverage service experience preferred, especially in banquet, catering, restaurant, or hospitality settings.
• Ability to provide excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and event procedures.
• Ability to remain professional, composed, and courteous under pressure.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying event schedules as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry service items for extended periods.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of banquet service standards and table settings.
• Experience working large events, weddings, conferences, or catered functions.
• Familiarity with tray service, buffet service, and beverage service.
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
