Position Overview: At Sundog Downtown Clubhouse, our Barbacks keep the bar running smoothly by supporting bartenders, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring guests always experience fast, high-quality service. Barbacks stay moving, stay sharp, and play a major role in keeping the pace and energy of the clubhouse strong throughout every shift.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist bartenders by restocking spirits, beer, wine, ice, glassware, garnishes, and supplies throughout service - Maintain a clean, sanitary, and guest-ready bar area, including wiping counters, washing glassware, and clearing empty items - Support bartenders during busy periods by helping prep ingredients, refill mixers, and organize product - Monitor inventory levels and communicate restock needs to the bar team - Help with organization of storage areas, coolers, and shelves - Ensure all bar tools, equipment, and stations remain clean, safe, and functional - Remove trash, recyclables, and broken-down boxes to maintain a clean work environment - Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, cleaning, and stocking - Help maintain the overall pace and flow of service by anticipating needs before they arise - Uphold all safety, sanitation, and alcohol-service standards Qualifications: - Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is helpful but not required - High energy, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic - Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment - Comfortable working as part of a team and taking direction - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and carry items such as ice buckets, cases, or supplies - Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to obtain any certifications required by local regulations - Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn behind-the-bar skills
Schedule & Compensation: - 3-5 shifts per week, flexible hours (early morning, daytime, or evening options). - Competitive hourly wage based on experience. -Part-time Schedule: Nights and weekends required
