UNDER NEW OWNERSHIPJob Description: BarbackJob Summary We are looking for an observant, efficient barback who can work well with other team members to ensure that our customers receive prompt, seamless service. The barback team assists in cleaning the bar, preparing garnishes, ensuring the bar is well stocked with napkins, straws, glassware, and all other bar necessities and other duties to support the bartenders to ensure that the bar operates smoothly. You should be knowledgeable about menu items, attentive, and focused on providing the best possible service in a fast-paced environment Responsibilities
A barback provides essential support to the bartending team, ensuring smooth bar operations. Key responsibilities include:
1. Stocking and Replenishing: Restocking the bar with liquor, mixers, ice, and other supplies to maintain a continuous and efficient workflow.
2. Glassware Management: Washing, polishing, and restocking glassware to ensure a clean and ready supply for bartenders.
3. Assisting Bartenders: Supporting bartenders by fetching ingredients, preparing garnishes, and helping with the setup and breakdown of the bar.
4. Cleaning and Maintenance: Keeping the bar area clean and organized, including regularly clearing empty glasses, cleaning spills, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
5. Trash Disposal: Emptying trash bins and ensuring proper disposal of waste to maintain hygiene and cleanliness.
6. Customer Service: Assisting customers by promptly fulfilling drink orders, providing water, and offering general support during busy periods.
7. Inventory Control: Assisting in monitoring bar inventory levels and notifying bartenders or management when supplies need replenishing.
8. Multitasking: Handling multiple tasks simultaneously to support the efficient functioning of the bar, especially during peak hours.
9. Communication: Effectively communicating with bartenders and other staff members to coordinate tasks and contribute to a well-organized team environment.
10. Adherence to Policies: Following established policies and procedures, including responsible alcohol service practices and health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- TABC and Food Handlers Certified
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment without constant supervision.
