Barback/Busser

About the Role:
Drugstore Cowboy in Silver Lake, is looking for a strong barback/busser who is down to work longer hours and reap the rewards. We are sports bar with a big football season just around the corner as well as a popular busy late night cocktail lounge. We have established ourselves in the neighborhood over the past few years and have very loyal following. The work is hard, and we wear a lot of hats, but we have a very tight knit crew and have a great time together. Position is tipped and tips are significant.

Scheduling requirements:
Friday: 5pm-Close
Saturday: 6pm-Close
Sunday: Day or Night Shift as needed depending on Sports Scheduling. Not every week.

Responsibilities:

• Support bartenders by restocking liquor, beer, wine, and bar supplies throughout each shift
• Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently to maintain a clean, welcoming dining environment
• Restock glassware, ice, garnishes, and other bar essentials to ensure seamless service
• Assist with bussing dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables and the bar area
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar, floor, and service stations throughout the shift
• Communicate effectively with bartenders, servers, and floor staff to anticipate needs
• Assist with opening and closing side work duties as assigned
• Run food and utensils to customers.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a barback, busser, or in a restaurant/bar support role preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume bar or restaurant environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Must be able to stand, walk, and carry heavy items for extended periods
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must meet minimum age requirements to work in an establishment serving alcohol
• Reliable, punctual, and a positive attitude under pressure
• Must be able to lift 150 lbs. 
• English proficiency required.
