We are currently seeking a Barback to support our Beverage Team and ensure our bar operations run smoothly, efficiently, and consistently at a high standard.

About the Role

The Barback plays a key support role in the success of our bar operations. This position ensures that bartenders have everything they need to deliver fast, friendly, and consistent service.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, demonstrates excellent attention to detail, and delivers a service experience aligned with PLAY Playground's dynamic and guest‑focused brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and readiness throughout all operating hours.
• Stock and replenish beverages, garnishes, juices, glassware, ice, and all bar supplies.
• Prepare bar ingredients including fruit, juice, and garnishes.
• Keep ice wells filled and maintained.
• Deliver food orders to guests at the bar and surrounding tables.
• Clear and reset bar tops and nearby tables.
• Remove, replace, and compact trash; maintain clean waste and storage areas.
• Assist with inventory management and proper stocking procedures.
• Maintain bar equipment, refrigerators, walk‑in coolers, and storerooms to company standards.
• Support bartenders with restocking and service needs to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Uphold all health and sanitation regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

Required

• 21+ years of age (company policy)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a high‑energy, entertainment‑driven environment.

Preferred

• Prior barback, busser, or hospitality experience.
• Experience in nightlife, entertainment, or high‑volume environments.

Licenses & Certifications- Preferred

• Valid Tennessee Alcohol Server Permit (or ability to obtain)
• Must meet state eligibility requirements for alcohol handling
