Barback- Sunda New Asian
Barbacks are responsible for supporting the bartender in keeping the bar stocked and clean; makes drinks when needed. Uses hospitality and graciousness in dealing with guests. Performs duties in a pleasant, conscientious, fun, energetic and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction. Sunda New Asian is an award-winning restaurant concept featuring modern Southeast Asian cuisine, culture, and experiences. By seamlessly melding elevated cooking techniques and flavors found throughout Asia, Sunda’s extensive cross-cultural New Asian menu spans many cultural and culinary options, allowing guests to choose the dining experience they desire. Sunda also provides an impressive list of specialty cocktails, signature sakes, and a collection of popular wines to complement the cuisine.
Summary of Responsibilities - Have complete knowledge of products and specifications
- Follow and execute Sunda service standards as outlined in training
- Help promote a safe and clean environment for co-workers and guests
- Control the amount of alcohol served, so that guests do not become intoxicated
- Oversee bar maintenance. Always maintain a clean and organized bar
- Keep bar area supplied in glassware, garnishes, etc
- Provide bartenders with the appropriate spirit/glass/garnish/tool to help them move efficiently and quickly in making drinks
- Provide guests at the bar with the correct and appropriate silverware for their food items
- Clean up any spills/ broken glassware in the bar area
- Further duties not currently listed in this outline may be added at the manager’s discretion
Physical Requirements - Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 30 pounds
