    Location: 3001 W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tampa FL, 33607

    Facility: St. Joseph's Hospital - Weight Management Services

    Shift: Monday - Thursday 8:30AM-6:00PM and Friday 8:30AM-12:30PM

    Schedule: Full-time

    Status: Non-Exempt

    Weekend Work: None

    Remote Work: No

    Role Overview

    Responsible for the daily operations of the Metabolic and Bariatric Weight Loss Program, managing referrals, tracking leads, verifying insurance coverage, and reviewing patient eligibility. Coordinates scheduling across a multidisciplinary team (surgeons, dietitians, therapists, pharmacists, and psychologists) and ensures all required documentation and clearances are completed for surgery.

    Provides patient education, registration, and administrative support, including insurance verification and payment collection. Collaborates with physician offices and internal teams to maintain efficient workflows and a positive patient experience, while supporting program accreditation and compliance efforts.

    Qualifications

    Education Required: High School Graduate or Equivalent GED

    Education Preferred: Associates Degree

    Experience Required:

    3 years of Admitting/Registration

    3 years of working in a physician office performing related experience

    4 years working in an administrative/clerical healthcare role
