What you will have an opportunity to do:
SUMMARY: The Barista will contribute to the mission and success of Provenance Hotel Group by creating exceptional ways of personalizing and providing the best guest service in the hospitality industry and ensuring our high standards of service are met. The Barista will provide prompt and courteous service and quality beverages to all guests, encouraging the guest to return again which will generate repeat business. The Barista is responsible for providing quality guest services that include providing a positive first and last impression and a friendly, upbeat and clean atmosphere to every guest. When servicing guests, the Barista is responsible for being professional, friendly, and helpful, using the "Five Hospitality Standards" of eye contact, a smile, speak first, engage in polite conversation, and use the guest's surname. He/She displays a positive attitude at all times to ensure repeat business.
All functions are carried out to maintain an environment of teamwork.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed. Effective oral communication skills.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to build relationships. Must provide the highest customer service to all guest. Ability to interact with guests using the "Hospitality Standards" set out by your General Manager. Attention to detail: must pay continuous attention to the preparation of drinks, the handling of money, and the operation of the cash register. Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
