Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, and specialty drinks to brand standards
- Provide personalized, anticipatory service to guests, creating a welcoming and refined atmosphere
- Maintain expert knowledge of coffee origins, flavor profiles, brewing techniques, and seasonal offerings
- Ensure the coffee bar area is impeccably clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times
- Handle guest orders accurately and efficiently, including customized requests
- Upsell menu items and promote signature beverages and pastries
- Collaborate with culinary and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Qualifications:
- Previous barista or specialty coffee experience in an upscale café, hotel, or restaurant preferred
- Strong knowledge of espresso machines, grinders, and brewing methods
- Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-standard environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexible schedule, including mornings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in luxury or boutique hotel environments
- Certification in barista skills or coffee education (e.g., SCA)
- Knowledge of latte art and advanced beverage techniques
- Multilingual abilities are a plus
