Barista I

• To uphold Teaspoon Mission and values and create the best customer experience possible
• Greet customers and take food and drink orders.
• Execute Deployment guidelines to prepare beverages and food as necessary to complete orders.
• Ability to multitask while paying special attention to detail
• Has a sense of urgency and the ability to work well under pressure
• Strong communication skills, both orally and written
• Operate a POS system and receive payment from customers in cash or credit card, provide accurate change to customers.
• Customer Service: Make sure customers are satisfied with drink products and able to provide friendly service.
• Can stand for long periods of time.
• Control Food Cost and record any food waste.
• Inventory: organize and date (first in first out rule!)
• Maintain food safety and freshness at all times.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs regularly throughout shifts
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop and complete daily cleaning duties.
• High integrity with a great attendance record
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Other duties as assigned
